Canning food is an affordable way to store food in case of emergency situations. Its shelf-life makes canned food suitable for long-term storage. Creating your own food reserves lets you choose your preferred menu and quality of ingredients. Canning food yourself is far more affordable than buying it, especially if you prefer organic and pasture-raised foods.

Reliable and Sturdy

All American 1930 canners are an investment for those who plan to can food. The family-owned company is known for its high-quality canners, which are made by Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry. They have six models, this 10.5 quart model being the smallest. It holds about 7 pint jars or 4 quart jars, and serves 15+ people. The All American 1930 Canner comes with instructions and a recipe book.

Well Designed

All American 1930 canners use positive action clamping locks to form a metal-to-metal, steam-tight seal. There are no costly gaskets to replace. The canners feature an easy-to-read steam gauge, an easy-to-clean satin finish, and a precision machined regulator weight for accurate pressure control. Each canner is equipped with a sturdy phenolic top handle, and double-thickness edges to provide additional protection on points of heaviest wear. All American 1930 customers say they’ve handed their canners over generations.

This 10.5 quart model of the All American 1930 canner works on flat top stoves but can damage their surfaces if dropped, or potentially by heating surfaces beyond the burners. As it’s made of aluminum, it won’t work on induction stoves. This 10.5 quart model is small enough to use with an adapter for induction stoves but again, it’s a heavy canner.

An Investment For Regular Users

Canning food properly, and inspecting canned foods before use, takes time and research to learn. It’s not a set-it-and-forget-it process. Heat may need adjustment should the canner’s pressure change during use. Pressure canners are safe to use but employ heat, steam, and high pressure. They should not be left unattended while in use. The All American 1930 Canner is built to last for generations, and a good investment in quality equipment.
